Welcome to Southern Peninsula Concert Band

The Southern Peninsula Concert Band is a not-for-profit community band with a long, proud history of service to the Mornington Peninsula.

Our regular performances include Anzac Day Parades, Christmas Carol Concerts, Retirement Village Performances and Community Market Day appearances.  We are celebrating our 61st year in 2026!

The band rehearses every FRIDAY night, during Public School Terms.
Anyone Welcome!


TIME: 8:00 to 10:00 pm
(with 15 minute break at 9:00 pm for Tea, Coffee and Biscuits)

​The Band Hall is on the foreshore, next to the Sound Shell, Village Green, Nepean Hwy. Rosebud (opposite Sixth Avenue)

Players Wanted!

No auditions - All are welcome - Any standard!
(The band plays music from Grade 3 to about Grade 5)

If you play:  Flute, Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Electric Bass, Mallets (Tuned Percussion), Timpani - you are most welcome to come along.

AGM & Awards Night 2026

November 2, 2026
On Friday 30th October 2026 we held our Annual General Meeting and Awards Night. Award recipients for 2026 were: Kerry Salomon received the "Conductors Award" Clement Wong received the "Jim Baker Award" for Committment. Lachlan Theobold received the "Walter James Elliget Award" for Service. Life Membership was awarded to Gil Ottosen, Joanna Maidment and Steven Danne. Trish Fowler received her 30 years badge. Robert Sonneveld-Saporito received his 20 years badge. Lachlan Theobold received his 10 years badge. Thanks to Past President Allan Fenney for announcing the new Committee for 2027. President: Trish Fowler. Vice-President: Robert Sonneveld-Saporito Secretary: Tiffany Mumford. Treasurer: Kerry Salomon. Committee: Julia Cull. Committee: Alex Salomon. Barry Fletcher will continue as our Musical Director and Conductor. Congratulations to all and thank you for your commitment to the Southern Peninsula Concert Band.

Photo Wall, Honour Board and Hall Sign

Great to see our wall of photos and Honour Board back in place, thanks to the hard work of our Band Members under the guidance of Past President Allan Fenney, who has masterfully framed these photos over the years. Thanks also to our President Trish Fowler for organising the great new sign for the front of the band hall, so everyone knows where we are.

Rosebud RSL Sponsorship

Rosebud RSL are continuing their support of the band with ongoing sponsorship through 2027. We are extremely grateful for this support to help cover our major expenses throughout the year. In return we support the Rosebud RSL annually, playing in the ANZAC Day Parade and service, bugling on Remembrance Day and meeting at the Rosebud RSL for dinner four times a year. Thank you Rosebud RSL.

AGM 2026 - Friday 30th October 2026

The Annual General Meeting for the Southern Peninsula Concert Band will be held after a shortened practice on Friday 30th October 2026. Practice starts at 8pm as usual. Band members are asked to bring a plate for supper after the meeting.
