Jack Butcher's Funeral Service Tuesday 11th April 2017
Message from the President:
Jack Butcher's funeral will be at the Uniting Church, Murray Anderson Rd, Rosebud at
2 pm on Tuesday the 11th of April .
If you are attending please wear band uniform.
Also if you wish to play we will be playing the Geelong Footy Club Song as the coffin leaves the church. So if you want to play please be at the church by 1.30pm so we can set-up stands and maybe a quick run through the music.
Please let me know if you want to play so I can bring the correct number of music stands.
For those members that did not know Jack he was the band's conductor when he moved to the peninsula from 1982 to 1991. He also played in and conducted brass bands in Melbourne, and won many solo flugel horn competitions, both state and national, when he was a member of the Victorian Band League.
He was a very good musician and conductor and will be greatly missed.
